This vintage 12” Santa Muerte statue was personally sourced in Mexico by Ed Calderon and Eddie Dennis, selected for its unique seated form, strong presence, and clear signs of long-term devotional use. Unlike standing altar figures, this depiction presents Santa Muerte enthroned and seated, symbolizing authority, judgment, and dominion.
The statue features Santa Muerte seated on a throne, draped in a deep red robe, with skeletal face and extended arm. The globe beneath her foot represents power over the physical world, while the throne-backed posture reinforces her role as a governing force rather than a passive guardian.
Heavy patina, surface wear, paint loss, and residue throughout the piece indicate years of altar placement and ritual exposure. The underside shows material inconsistencies and embedded residue consistent with candles, incense, oils, and environmental aging. This piece has not been restored or cleaned—its condition reflects its history.
This is a serious devotional object, best suited for established altars, collectors, or practitioners who understand and respect Santa Muerte iconography.
