These vintage 12” Santa Muerte statues were personally sourced in Mexico by Ed Calderon and Eddie Dennis, selected for their age, character, and unmistakable devotional presence. Each piece reflects years of handling, prayer, and placement—visible in the layered paint wear, patina, and surface imperfections that only come from time and use.
This statue features Santa Muerte robed in deep red and orange tones with gold accents, holding a globe symbolizing dominion, balance, and the cycle of life and death. The skull face shows pronounced age, with natural cracking, discoloration, and wear consistent with older devotional figures. The heavy paint loss, exposed underlayers, and felted base all point to an authentic, older piece—not a modern reproduction.
The bottom of the statue shows original felt padding, a detail commonly seen on older altar figures meant to be placed on wood, stone, or tile surfaces. These were not decorative souvenirs—they were made to be used.
